I will be writing a full-on recap of our very eventful trip to Mexico later, but I just wanted to share a few tid-bits right now:
Number of times I fell and skinned my knee, also breaking a bottle of tequila that I really, really wanted to bring home with me: 1
Number of times I was sunburned, even though I had put on sunscreen and tried to stay out of the sun: 1 million.
Number of times people commented on my sunburn and told me that I should really be wearing sunscreen: 10 million.
Number of people I cold-cocked after they told me I should wear sunscreen: Sadly, none.
Number of sombreros we bought: 2 (one for Lucy and one for Peanut-- pictures forthcoming!)
Number of margaritas/gin and tonics/coronas/and my new favorite Caipirinhas I drank: I don't think there's really a number for it, unless "Oh my god I'm so drunk" is a number.
Actually, we didn't exactly have a Caipirinhas because they were made with rum and, as Wikipedia tells us, that is really called a Caipirissima. I also noticed, reading that Wiki article, that the name comes from the Portuguese word "caipira," which is roughly translated as "hillbilly" in English. This just makes me love it even more.
So, I'll be posting more later today, including pictures, so you will feel as if you were there with me. And if you ever want to get together for some hillbilly drinks, you know who to call.
