So... we are going to Cabo. Tomorrow morning. At 7:15, which means we have to be at the airport in, like, 2 hours, right? We're leaving the homeland! Don't we have to take a test or something? And we haven't packed. And Lucy has to go to my parent's house and Joel's not even home yet! Aaaaahhhh!
We'll be gone until Monday and I think it will be the longest vacation we've taken together. I'm very excited to go down there, but the logistics of traveling like this drive me crazy. I'm a little anxious anyway, but adding all of the crap we have to do when we travel pushes me over the edge. I never know how much stuff to bring. For example: I plan to pack 5 pairs of shoes. We're going to be gone for 4 days. Is that too many? I don't think so! The reason being that we will be doing all sorts of different things, including a wedding/reception, and I need to have shoes that will fit every possible situation I might find myself in.
Also, what purse should I bring? I was going to bring 2, one for every day and one for the party, but then I reined myself in, but I don't know what purse I should bring! Or should I even bring a purse? Should I get a fanny pack? Do they even make those anymore? Gah!
As you can see, I am clearly insane when it comes to traveling. I'm not one of those people who can throw a bunch of stuff into a bag and hope for the best! I'm trying to be better, but I honestly wouldn't know what to do if I got down there and I had to wear by BLACK flip flops with by BROWN shorts. Please, someone, help me!
Joel just got home, so I should probably go prod him to start packing so we can get some stuff done. I will make sure to take lots of pictures (that don't include me in a bathing suit-- no need to thank me!) and I will post all about it when we get back!
You should definitely take a fanny pack. After all, I heard Rick Springfield travels with one : )

I nearly drive myself insane packing too, even though I KNOW I won't give a shit about my clothes once I'm drunk on the beach.
My only piece of advice, as passed on from a friend: Don't drink any McDonald's milkshakes while in Mexico. I think you see where this is going (and going...and dear god, I can't stop going).
