Guess What?

Chicken butt.  Ha!  Gotcha!

So, recently, I've discovered a new potato snack that is tasty AND "healthy."  I actually am unaware of any health benefits related to eating any kind of potato product, so I can't actually say they are good for you.  However, an entire bag of these things is only 360 calories.  That means you can eat an entire bag for dinner and not feel guilty about it!  You might feel guilty that you're a grown-up person eating a bag of snack chips for dinner, but at least you won't be a fat grown-up person eating an entire bag of snack chips for dinner.  Ok, here's the big reveal.  Behold, the glory that is popchips:

You guys!  Serious.  These are awesome and if you are not eating them on a regular basis, you should be ashamed of yourselves.  If only I had known about these last week when I went to Las Vegas and bought a bag of vanilla/caramel roasted almonds to snack on, and then proceeded to eat the entire bag, which contained over 900 calories, while sitting in my rental car waiting for my hearing to start.  If you're going to just sit in a car and absentmindedly stuff snack food in your gaping maw, better it be something that won't make it impossible for you to fit in the airplane seat on the way home, no?

If you are in the Salt Lake area and want to pick some of this manna from heaven for yourself, I have only found them at the Smith's Marketplace downtown and the Smith's grocery on 8th South and 8th East.  Mind you, these are really the only stores I go to on a regular basis, so they could be all over the place.  I just don't know.

There are seven different flavors: Plain, BBQ, Salt and Pepper, Salt and Vinegar, Cheddar, Sour Cream and Onion, and Parmesan Garlic.  I have tried the plain, S&P, S&V, and sour cream.  I have loved them all, except I found the pepper flavor in the S&P to be a bit overwhelming.  I haven't even seen the Parmesan Garlic flavor here, but I have a feeling I would just strap the bag on like a feedbag and go to town.

So, if you're looking for something tasty that won't cause the button on your pants to fly off, possibly causing someone grievous bodily harm, try the popchips.  Then try to stop eating them, because I think that might actually be impossible.  You're welcome.
